Upcycle will be running a number of FREE upcycling craft workshops in conjunction with the Lesedi Municipality in Gauteng
The focus of our next upcycle workshop will be on creating functional and useful decor items by recycling paper, greening and upskilling the community in one go!

UPCYCLE - Lesedi Municpality, paper recycling
Come and have some fun and learn a new craft. The workshops are FREE to anyone who would like to join. Just arrive on the day and learn something new!
Paper jewellery is a unique way to upcycle paper instead of recycling it. It is easy to make with very little cost involved, as the jewellery is made from old paper, just a little glue and varnish. They make stunning necklaces and bangles, but can also be used to do mosaic, picture frames, waste paper baskets and many other things.
We will be spending the day at the library to get the community involved in learning new skills to uplift themselves and the lives of the people around them, as well as easing the pressure off our natural resources and planet, and inspiring them to upcycle other junk materials.
Our facilitators will also be explaining the concept of upcycle and its benefits, and how everyday 'junk' can be turned into a useful, useable commodities - this unique concept is easily taught and very sustainable.
Please encourage everyone you know who might benefit from learning a new skill or just loves crafts to join us on the day, learn something new and have some fun!
