Magic Matchbox

Amaze and baffle your friends with this magical pet matchbox! Simple and easy to make - boys will love putting on a show for the family!

What you will need:

Matchbox
Bead
Safety pin
Knife or scissors
45cm very thin fishing gut

Step 1

Tie one end of the gut to the bottom loop of the safety pin.

Step 2

Using the point of a knife or a pin, make a small hole on the inside part of the magic matchbox.

Step 3

Thread the gut through, from the bottom to the top, and tie the end to the bead.

Step 4

Pull the gut, so the bead sits snugly over the hole on the inside of the matchbox.

Step 5

Pull the gut flat against the bottom, bringing it out on the non-beaded side, and slide the box back together.

Step 6

Pin the safety pin somewhere no one will see it, the inside of a pocket works great!

Step 7

Put the magic matchbox flat on your palm, with the gut running between your two inner fingers, and with the bead side of the box facing the back of your palm.

Step 8

Slowly move your arm forward and amaze your friends as your magic matchbox magically slides across your palm!
