What you need:

Step 1

Using your scrapper, scrape and chip off loose pieces of paint, including areas where bubbles have formed under the paint.

Step 2

Using your 60 grit sand paper, sand down and smooth away rough edges on the surface of your door.

Step 3

Make sure your surface is smooth by gently rubbing your fingertips over the parts of the door you have sanded down. You will be able to feel where there are bumps or rough patches that require more sanding.

Using your matt acrylic paint, paint your first coat of paint over the entire surface of your door and leave it to dry. Rinse your paint brush in your bowl of water when done.

Step 5

Using your gloss enamel paint, paint your second coat of paint over the entire surface of your door and leave it to dry. Rinse your paint brush in your bowl of turpentine when done. It is good practice if you have a green sunlight bar to rub this onto your brush before you pack it away.
