What you will need:

what you need

Step 1

Choose a design you like.

Step 2

Using a pencil, trace the design onto the tracing paper. Make sure you make a solid dark line so that it can transfer onto the plate correctly.

Step 3

Turn the tracing paper over and place it on the plate. You can stick the edges down with masking tape to minimise slipping if you like.

Step 4

Retrace the design onto the plate, pressing hard. Make sure you go over all the lines so that the entire design is transferred onto the plate.

Step 5

Remove the tracing paper from your plate. You should be able to lightly see your design on the plate.

Step 6

Colour in your design using paint and brushes. Use the paint sparingly as it will take very long to dry and start bleeding into the other colours if it is put on too thick.

Step 7

Once the main picture had been painted, trace any lines you want with liner, or leave it as it is.

And there you have it! Your very own custom painted plate!
